This is from the original SNES continuity, no less. For a moment I was thinking of a possibility for Nintendo to revive that continuity -- a continuity without Krystal -- and see where it leads to as compared to the 64 canon. It seems unlikely that Nintendo would make that into consideration, though... :-/
